  • Location data (when you grant permission, used to show nearby restaurants)
  • Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
  • Usage data (features used, screens viewed, interactions within the app)

  • To provide personalized restaurant recommendations based on your location, preferences, and saved places

  • To improve and develop our AI-powered Motzi Verified system

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the MOTZI platform:

  • Firebase (Google) — used for phone number authentication and Firestore database storage of your account data and saved places.
  • Google Places API — used to fetch restaurant data, photos, and location information.
  • RevenueCat — used to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription state; your payment details are handled by the App Store or Google Play.

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers (such as those listed above) who assist in operating our Service, under strict confidentiality obligations
  • If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a court order)
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of MOTZI, our users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the successor entity agrees to honor this policy

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@motzi.app. Some information may be retained for legal or compliance purposes after account deletion.

7. Location Data

Location access is optional and used solely to show you restaurants near you. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings. We do not continuously track your location in the background.

8. Children's Privacy

MOTZI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
